So here we are then, a new chapter, a new blog.
Tomorrow morning I fly off to Spain, to try and find a job in Madrid, and here I shall write about it.
Actually, this is just a temporary solution until I can get a blog set up at snailsnail.com, I’m not really happy with the design here at all, but for the time being this’ll be where I write – just get prepared for a url change in the not too distant future.

Pretty amazing really that you can fit your life in a couple of bags if you try hard enough.

As I don’t know quite what my connectivity will be like in Spain, I can’t make any promises about how often this’ll get updated – fingers crossed I’ll be diligent and able to beg borrow or steal some bandwidth.

I guess I’m equal parts wildly excited and greatly afeared. There is a lot that still needs to be sorted out, I wish my Spanish was better and that I’d made more progress on looking for a job. But these things’ll come I’m sure.

I’m guessing that most of my posts won’t be quite so rambling as this one, but my mind’s quite rambling at the minute.

I’d like to thank everyone who came to my leaving do, it was great to mark this occasion properly, and to Marcus for arranging last night and everyone who came for one final round of pints. I’m going to miss proper beer.

And that my dears, I suspect, is that, for now. Next time I see you I shall be over there, in foreign.
